ForeignLifeGuide works because people share honest, first-hand experience. These rules keep it useful and safe.
Share what you know first-hand
Write about places, employers, schools and services you have used yourself. Say when something happened, because rules and prices change.
Be kind, even when you disagree
No insults, harassment, hate speech or attacks on anyone's nationality, religion, gender, sexuality or immigration status.
No spam or promotion
Do not post advertising, affiliate links, requests to move the conversation to WhatsApp or Telegram, or offers of visas, documents or jobs for money.
Protect privacy
Do not post other people's personal details, addresses, phone numbers or documents. Blur passports and residence cards in photos.
Be accurate about legal topics
Share your experience, and point to the official source for rules. Never advise anyone to work or stay without the right permit.
How moderation works
Posts are checked automatically for spam. Members can report anything that breaks these rules and moderators review every report. Content that breaks the rules is removed, and repeated or serious breaches lead to suspension or a permanent ban.
